March 18, 2010, South Amboy, NJ - Sacred Heart School kicks off for the 2nd year in a row the Bridges of Peace - Help a Child through a Soldier Drive to benefit the children of Iraq. Items will be sent to Sgt. Robert Bruce's unit in Iraq building Bridges of Peace between the soldiers and children of Iraq.
Sgt. Bruce is a Bridges of Peace Board of Director who served in Iraq in the civil affairs unit returning in 2008 and currently works as a Sayreville Police Detective.
In order to raise money to help cover shipping costs, the school has announced a no uniform day fundraiser! Those who donate to the cause are allowed to go to school without their uniform for the day!

SAYREVILLE — Jon Bon Jovi did more than entertain
some of his biggest fans in his hometown last week. He helped a local charity, and in turn, children in wartorn Iraq.

Jon Bon Jovi will be performing at an upcoming special Concert for his BackstageJBJ fanclub members and will be sponsoring a Bridges of Peace "Help a Child through a Soldier" drive at their event.

Bridges of Peace, founders of the "Help a Child Through a Soldier" Drive Project are a local organization collecting items to support our troops and the children of Iraq building Bridges of Peace between them.
