Benefit Concert on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at The Headliner Club in Neptune, NJ, 3PM- 8PM to benefit the establishment of Beth Miriam, a House of Hospitality in Jersey City and to aid the Bridges of Peace "Help a Child Through a Soldier" Drive Project which supports the troops and children....

Bridges of Peace will host a ?Jersey Shore Jam? Benefit Concert on Sunday, November 23, 2008 at The Headliner Club in Neptune, NJ, 3PM- 8PM to benefit the establishment of Beth Miriam, a House of Hospitality in Jersey City and to aid the Bridges of Peace "Help a Child Through a Soldier" Drive Project which supports the troops and children whose lives have been adversely affected by war and poverty.

Part of the proceeds from the concert will be donated to Beth Miriam, to assist in establishing a ?House of Hospitality? in Jersey City, N.J. The House of Hospitality will serve women of all denominations throughout the state of New Jersey, who are being released from prison. The goal will be to provide a safe and loving environment where they can learn how to become productive members of society.

There will also be a Bridges of Peace ?Help a Child Through a Soldier? drive taking place at the concert. Bridges of Peace will be collecting stuffed toys and other items that will be sent to Iraq. They will be distributed to Iraqi children by our U.S. Service men and women, helping to build a Bridge of Peace between our armed forces and the children of Iraq .

Bridges of Peace is an inclusive organization who invites everyone to get involved with this mission. Our mission is a simple one: to open the heart through a strong message of love. We invite volunteers to sponsor collection drives to collect items for children and to work with our U.S. military to assist in distributing collected items to children in most need.

To build Bridges of Peace among people, one life at a time, through charity projects and the arts;

Beth Miriam, a 501(C) 3 nonprofit charity organization, is establishing a House of Hospitality in Jersey City, NJ, to support women who are being released from prison and trying to re-enter society. The House of Hospitality will be run by Father John Corbett.

The goal of Beth Miriam is take the desperation out of the lives of these women by providing not only physical shelter, but also emotional and spiritual support. The House of Hospitality will be a place where:

? The community and ex-offender join together to help meet the practical needs of the recently released women;
? Suitable, safe, and drug-free housing will be provided;
? Multi dimensional strategies for decision-making and skill building services will be offered;
? Women who are in the program will have a safe, secure, and welcoming environment to live in while transitioning back into productive members of society.
